Pita bread is a thinner dough and usually consists of basic ingredients like flour, water, yeast, salt, and oil. My dough got sticky no matter how much flour I added and was very difficult to work with... I have no idea what I did wrong. But the flavor was great anyway, so I'm definitely going to make this bread again (although with less sugar, it was too sweet for me).Guarantor
Can sour cream replace yogurt?
Guarantor
This should work fine!
Guarantor
What salt did you use in the video? It looks a bit multicolored!
Guarantor
I only used regular salt.
Guarantor
I did this last night. They were great. I used about 0.16 cup of sugar instead of 0.25 cup. That was perfect for me. I will definitely do them again. I don't understand the messages that it contains too much liquid; it was perfect. Do you want to know in which pan you can fry them best? I used my stainless steel skillet and it was very difficult to clean afterwards. I had to use stainless steel cleaner and a lot of elbow grease.Guarantor
Too much liquid? Is the amount of water in the recipe correct? Or little flour? Anyway, I added flour until I formed a ball. The naans were delicious.Guarantor
The same. I must have added at least an extra cup of flour before making a dough.
Guarantor
I tried it today and I doubt I'll buy it from the store again! so easy and deliciousGuarantor
Hello! I've already done this twice. But there is a lot of liquid. Then I keep adding flour. Although it was fine.
Guarantor
Can I use plain Greek yogurt?
Guarantor
Yes, that will work too.
Guarantor
It's good, but too sweet. He doesn't taste like naan.Guarantor
I agree, it's too sweet. 1 teaspoon of sugar is more than enough for this recipe.Guarantor
I tried it today and my family really liked it! In fact, I had to make another batch a few hours later.
Guarantor
I have never had naan bread before but would like to try it sometime. There are only 2 of us though. Can extra pieces be frozen for later?
Guarantor
Yeah! You can freeze it or store it in a zip-top bag or airtight container. If you like it hot, you can heat it in the oven or microwave.
Guarantor
Can the dough be frozen?
Guarantor
Hi Alyssa, I made this a few weeks ago and my family really liked it, so I'm doing it again today. I can send you a photo as proof!! Thank you very much for sharing your recipe.Guarantor
I'm glad they're ready for you! Thanks for your comment!
Guarantor
Regular yeast will work.
Guarantor
Yes, it will take a little longer.
Guarantor
Is instant dry yeast the same as active dry yeast? Or do I have to buy the quick increase?
Guarantor
No, they are slightly different. Instant yeast can be mixed directly into the dough, while active yeast must be dissolved in water.
Guarantor
I have never made naan before, just ate it, so thanks for this recipe!Guarantor
